Notable panelists included Dato' Loy Teik Ngan, Chairman of FBN Asia, Yong Yoon Li, Managing Director of Royal Selangor International, and Linda Lam, Founder of Royan Jade.


Keynote Interview: Establishing a Family Office in Asia: Comparative Analysis and Considerations of Key Jurisdictions in the Region


The summit also featured a keynote interview, led by Ada Ma of EY, with David Chong Kok-Kong, Founder and president of Portcullis Group. The interview explored the complexities of establishing a family office in Asia, offering valuable insights on regulatory landscapes, geographic considerations, talent availability, and tax implications.


Panel Discussion: Constructing a Family Office Portfolio in 2023: Trends and Investment Strategies to Consider During Turbulent Times


Family office portfolio management was the focus of another panel discussion, where experts discussed strategies for adapting to changing market conditions, comparing private and public markets, and analyzing macroeconomic and geopolitical outlooks. Panelists included Aradhna Dayal, Chief Investment Officer of Regal Ford Asia, Yogiraj Nadgauda of RDA Investments Singapore, Thomas Vergnaud of SBL Capital, and Helen Wong, CEO of Lapis Global Limited.

A dedicated panel explored the dynamic world of venture capital, comparing Asia's VC ecosystem to global counterparts and offering strategies for accessing the right investment opportunities. The discussion emphasized the power of collaboration, geographical markets, and thriving industries. Prominent panelists included Rebekah Woo, CEO & CIO of Serene Group of Companies, Kelvin Liu of Tsangs Group, Nao Murakami, Founder and General Partner of Incubate Fund Asia, and Katalin Gallyas, Managing Director of c*funds.


Panel Discussion: Technology, Innovation & Investment


The event also delved into the transformative impact of technology and innovation on investments. Panelists discussed the rise of AI, disruptive technologies, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the role of technology in addressing global challenges. This panel included Rachel Lau, Managing Partner of RHL Ventures, Nydia Zhang, Investment Director at Ferretto Capital, Carman Chan, Founder and Managing Partner of Click Ventures, and Bowie Lau, Founding Partner of True Global Ventures.


Roundtable Discussions


In addition to the main sessions, the event featured roundtable discussions, with notable topics including "Asia-Pacific Private Debt - The Winning Formula for Investors and Borrowers" led by Roger Moh, Managing Director & Head of Capital Solutions at VI Asset Management, and "Navigating Private Market Investments in China & Asia: The VMS Perspective," facilitated by Elton Cheung, Partner at VMS Group.
